King City-Soledad football

Friday's game
King City (2-2) at Soledad (3-2), 7:30 p.m.
You can make the argument that this has become the big rivalry in south county -- at least over the last five years, as three games have been decided by a touchdown or less.
Last year Soledad caught the Mustangs napping, using a gadget play to produce what turned out to be the game winning touchdown in a 21-14 win.
Both teams are undefeated since opening the season with a pair of losses. Soledad has used two late fourth quarter rallies to come back from 17 and 14 point deficits.
The Aztecs may be without tailback Emmanuel Ortega, who missed the second half of last week's game with a shoulder sprain.
The senior, who broke the school's single-season rushing record last year with 1,781 yards, saw his string of 10 straight games with over 100 yards rushing snapped.
In his absence, quarterback Robbie Santa Ana completed 19-of-25 for 283 yards and a touchdown, with 10 of those completions going to Angel Olivas.
Look for King City to line up tight end Clay Barbree all over the field, perhaps even behind center. Two weeks ago he rushed for over 100 yards and compiled over 100 receiving yards.
Luis Luna is starting to look more comfortable at quarterback, having thrown for 383 yards and four touchdowns in his last two games, with no interceptions.
Both teams did not allow an offensive touchdown in the second half last week. Dating back to last year, the Mustangs have dropped five straight road games.
