Alisal-North Salinas football

Friday's game
Alisal (0-3) vs. North Salinas (1-1) at Rabobank, 7:30 p.m.
Learning how to win is a process when rebuilding a programs culture. Alisal has lead in each of its last two games, only to come up short.
Last week's loss was crippling after the Trojans couldn't hold a 17-point lead, falling in the final 25 seconds to reigning CCS Division IV champion Soledad.
North Salinas had an extra week to enjoy its come-from-behind 17-14 win at Mountain View two weeks ago.
Quarterback Anthony Aguilar is completing nearly 60 percent of his passes for the Vikings for 494 yards and three scoring strikes.
Richie Reyes, who quietly caught 45 passes as a secondary receiver last fall, has 19 catches in two games for 241 yards and three touchdowns.
What North Salinas got in its last game was production in the running game, with senior Tim Hunter rushing for 82 yards and a touchdown. Aguilar has also rushed for a pair of touchdowns.
One note of encouragement for Alisal has been the improvement of its defense, having allowed less points and less yards in each of its last three games.
You can bet the Vikings will have an eye on Alisal quarterback Andrew Marquez, who has rushed for five of the teams six touchdowns, including scoring runs of 80 and 67 yards.
