Former New Orleans Saints offensive lineman and North Salinas High graduate Carl Nicks will lead a solid contingent of honorees into the Salinas Valley Sports Hall of Fame.
The banquet is set for Saturday, August 26 at 5 p.m. at the Salinas Storm House, next to Rabobank Stadium.Also set to be inducted is former judo Olympian Ellen Wilson, Stanford baseball coach Dave Esquer, Bob Burlison, Jose Celaya, Jim Rear, Ernie Reyes, Johnie Schneider, Raymond Smith and the 1978 Notre Dame girls basketball team.
