North Sainas-Santa Catalina volleyball

Who needs practice when four starters are back from a county record 27-1 volleyball team?
Ok, some rust is expected tonight when the Cougars finally open their season, hosting North Salinas -- with just five full practices under their belt.
Because of borders and school not starting until last Wednesday, Santa Catalina is still playing with lineup combinations.
The good news is four starters from last years Central Coast Section Division V title team are back in place, including Mission Trail Athletic League Player of the Year McKinley Fox.
It won't hurt having four year starters Olivia Satow and Saige Madden on the court along with junior Maria Santos, one of the more powerful hitters in the county.
North Salinas opened the year with a pair of sweeps under new coach and former Northern Arizona hitter Maggie Barrera before falling to King City earlier this week.
Teresa Ochoa is one of the top hitters in the Pacific Division while Brooke Siaz provides a presence at the net and serving line.
