As many as four players from the Otters baseball team could here their names called over the next 72 hours in Major League Baseball's amateur draft.
MLB scouts have been high on catcher Hayden Duer, who has hit 19 home runs in the last two years for the Otters, having hit .289 this past spring.
Myles Hager put his name on the draft board with a breakout season for CSUMB, leading the team in home runs (8) and runs batted in (48) while hitting .301.
Former San Benito product Jacob Tonascia had a nice bounce back season after injuries derailed him the previous season, hitting .289 with five homers.
And right-handed pitcher Ryan Arambula was 5-5 with an earned run average of 3.94. Arambula is the lone senior among the four.
One other name to watch for is former Monterey High product Jimmy Hill, who tore up pitching in conference play for Loyola Marymount, hitting .379 with 19 RBI in 27 games. Hill lead the team in doubles and stolen bases in conference play.
