Former King City High and Hartnell College first baseman Marc Flores is playing professional baseball in the Independent League for the Joliet Slammers.
An all-star for the Slammers last year, the 6-foot-5 Flores is hitting .254 with two homers and seven runs batted in after 16 games. He has also scored eight runs.Last year the left-handed swinging Flores hit .272 with 12 homers and 62 runs batted in.
Originally drafted by the Chicago White Sox out of Hawaii, Flores was a three-sport standout at King City, and an All-American at Hartnell.
