The annual Pat Young Throwers Classic will be held on Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. at Hartnell College.
The meet, which has attracted some of the top discus throwers in the world over the last 30 years, has featured numerous world bests to date thrown at Hartnell
The meet will begin with the men's hammer at 10 a.m. and conclude with the men's discus at 4 p.m. Prior to the men's discus competition will be the women' discus at 2:30 p.m.
The discus is held in the afternoon to take advantage of Salinas' swirling winds, which have made the meet a favorite among world renown throwers from all over the world.
