San Benito-Palma baseball

We had hoped that this would be for the Gabilan Division title.
And to a degree, it still it.
Either San Benito is going to clinch the title today on the road or Palma will move into a tie with one game left in the season.
Of course, as we have seen over the last two weeks, both teams aren't invincible, having each fallen to Monterey.
The Chieftains and San Benito split their first two games, with each winning on the road.
So home field advantage hasn't meant much. What has is who is on the mound. And Palma will turn to Cal bound Sam Stoutenborough, who is 9-0 this year, tossing a three hitter against the Balers.
The Balers will likely counter with either Diego Fisher -- who beat Palma in their first outing -- or Tyler Triano.
Danny Caranzzo has gotten hot at the plate for the Chieftains along with Stoutenborough. Prior to the 4-1 loss to Monterey, Palma was averaging eight runs a game in its last five games.
The Balers lineup can hit from top to bottom with Davonte Butler providing power and speed. In the teams win over Palma on March 30, Isaiah Bueno had three hits and scored four times.
