The Monterey Bay Lightfighters mountain bike team recently finished third as a unit at the Division II California High School Mountain Biking Championships in Petaluma.
Stefan Hubrich was a champion in the DII sophomore boys race while Nathan Davis placed fifth in the freshman race.The Lightfighters are made up of riders from Trinity, Carmel, Pacific Grove, Monterey and Monte Vista Christian.
Members of the state placing team included Aidan Van Der Bijl, Alexander Akins, Cameron Stewart, Christian Taylor, Ethan Nemiroff, Finn Stout, Hannah Lawrence, Luke Waltermire, Mallory Roberts, Mason Mortiz, Matthew Elliott, Ryan Chaney, Sage Lawrence, Tucker Evans, Severen Scarlett, Spencer Chaney and Tristan Parker-Lusseau.
