CCS baseball playoffs

Based on the seedings, there's a distinct possibility that Palma and San Benito are headed for a fourth meeting for the second straight year.
Of course, both have to get past today's first round opponents. As we have seen in the past, baseball seedings are often misleading. So don't be fooled by seeds.
The Chieftains are facing reigning CCS Division I champion Leland, who has won two of the last three section titles.
San Benito is facing San Lorenzo Valley, who won the Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League and has won six straight games.
The roles were reversed this year as San Benito took two-of-three from the Chieftains to capture the Gabilan Division title.
Last year the Balers beat Palma in the CCS quarterfinals enroute to playing for a Open Division title, falling 1-0 to St. Francis
