The Pirates are facing a St. Francis program that is in the semifinals for the 10th straight year and has won three CCS Division V titles in the last four years.
Mission Trail Athletic League champions for the first time in nine years, Stevenson has rattled off nine straight wins, including a 14-point decision over Kirby in the quarterfinals.
The Sharks, who are 8-3 outside the Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League, were 41-point winners over Jewish Community in the quarterfinals.
Stevenson has to contain guard Janiya Sevilla, who is averaging over 15 points a game this season for St. Francis, while Chloe Deleisseguess is dropping in 8.8 points a night.
Junior Ambreece Gaskins has been a thorn in most teams' side this year for Stevenson, averaging nearly 24 points a game, while leading the team in steals (98) and assists (81).
Help inside comes from Fauve Koontz, who is averaging 11.8 points a game and has pulled down nearly 10 rebounds a night.
Don't discount junior guard Antonia Malate, who is quietly averaging 9.8 points and is shooting 50 percent from the field for Stevenson.
