Salinas-Montereyboys soccer

 The Pacific Division champion Toreadores are looking to cap an historical season today when they chase their first unbeaten league season in school history.
 Having already locked up the programs first ever league soccer title, Monterey goes into its season finale 9-0-2, which ties the single season school record for league wins.
 The Toreadores defeated Salinas 1-0 last month in the teams first meeting. Overall, they are 7-0-1 at home this winter.
 Four year starter Louis Sanchez has a team high 12 assists to go along with seven goals, while Isaac Lomeli has a team high nine goals for Monterey.
 Defense has catapulted the Toreadores to a championship, having posted six shutouts. In 16 overall matches, the defense has allowed two goals in a game twice.
 Salinas, which is 2-0-1 in its last three games, is 1-5 this season in games decided by a 1-0 score
