1. North Salinas: Making it look to easy with 18 straight Gabilan Division wins.
2. Monte Vista: The hurdle that is North Salinas is to high to clear.
3. Salinas: Three straight wins and the only team to give North Salinas a game to date.
4. Stevenson: Can't afford to look to far ahead to its battle with Pacific Grove in eight days.
5. Seaside: Confidence is contagious when you've rattled off seven straight wins.
6. Carmel: Keeps itself in position for a shot at a third straight MTAL title.
7. Pacific Grove: If it could only find a way to beat Carmel.
8. Gilroy: After three straight wins, has dropped three straight Gabilan Division games.
9. San Benito: Needs a strong finish to extend season into the postseason.
10. North County:  A two game losing streak knocked the Condors out of first in the Pacific.
 On the bubble: Watsonville, Notre Dame, Alvarez, King City.
