Is there a better rivalry in any sport over the last decade?
Five of the last seven Central Coast Section Division I titles belong to either Watsonville or the Trojans, who meet tonight at Alisal.
The Wildcatz started the year unscored upon and 5-0 before succumbing to Alisal 1-0 on Jan. 5. It has taken them a little time to get their legs back after a tournament in Florida.
The Trojans are 7-0-1 in their last eight games, having not allowed a goal behind goalie Eduardo Soto. David Tapia has scored at least one goal in his last three games.
Abraham Montano had the only goal in the second half in the Trojans 1-0 win over Watsonville in the first meeting.
The Wildcatz have played in two tournaments, six time zones a part in the last two months, going 3-0 in a tournament in Hawaii and 0-3 in an event in Florida.
