Soledad-Stevenson boys hoops

Overcoming a humbling league opening loss, the Aztecs have rebounded with two consecutive wins, putting themselves in the MTAL conversation entering tonight's battle at Stevenson.
Snapping an 18-game losing skid to Carmel five days ago was arguably Soledad's biggest league win since capturing its first and only MTAL title in 2006.
What it also did is provide Soledad with a little more confidence going into its battle with Stevenson, whose only league setback was to Carmel.
The Pirates have been banged up and it's uncertain if leading scorer Parker Olin will be back on the hardwood tonight, having missed the last two league games.
Who will be on the court is 6-foot-6 Billy Hollman, who is coming off a pair of double-doubles for the Aztecs, including an 18-point, 20-rebound effort against Carmel.
Hollman, who has only been playing organized basketball for three years, has been a fixture inside the paint for Soledad, while Isaac Lopez has been a spark on the perimeter.
If Parker can't go, the Pirates will turn to Winston Elstob for production along with Will Lansbury and Ben Stork.
Since dropping its home opener, Stevenson  has won four straight home games. Soledad has non-league wins against Alisal and North Salinas, two teams with title hopes in the Pacific Division.
