Pajaro-Alisal boys hoops

 It's not a fluke.
The Grizzlies are for real, having already become the second winningest team in the programs 11 year history.
Battle tested won't be an issue for Pajaro Valley when it steps on the court tonight to face reigning Pacific Division champion Alisal in a battle of unbeatens in league play.
During the Grizzlies 4-0 league start, they have avenged a preseason loss to Alvarez, rallied for an overtime win over North Salinas, and held off Gilroy by a pair.
Unlike that 2008 Pajaro Valley squad that won 19 games and sank over 200 3-point goals, this group is more balanced in its offensive attack, while holding five teams under 40 points.
The Trojans, who come into the game riding a 16-game league winning streak, having beaten their four Pacific Division opponents by an average of 16 points a game.
Adriano Betancourt is one of three players averaging double digits for Alisal at 15.1 points a game while  6-foot-4 Rene Hurtado is at 14 points a night.
The Trojans Fab Five sophomore class includes Josue Gil-Silva, who is dropping in nearly 13 points a game. All five played last winter as freshmen.
Alisal has been a streaky team this year with a pair of four-game winning streaks and one three game losing streak.
The Trojans have won 11 straight over Pajaro Valley and are 12-1 overall, with that one loss coming in 2007 when the Grizzlies posted the second highest point total in school history in an 89-82 win
