North County-Alvarez girls soccer

Just one team in the tri-region area remains unbeaten. That will be put to a test on Wednesday when North County visits Alvarez.
The Condors, who have been forced to play all of their games on the road while their field is being renovated, haven't used it for an excuse at 5-0-1.
That one tie came in the season opener. Since then, North County has rattled off five straight wins, outscoring opponents 15-2 -- having yet to allow a goal in Pacific Division play.
The Eagles are 5-1-1, having produced 31 goals this season -- second to North Salinas in goals in the county this winter.
Bianca Gomar, Victoria De La Cruz and Lorena Gonzalez have combined for 13 goals for Alvarez, who has outscored its last three opponents 17-2.
Alyssa Delgado and Ruby Amaya have both produced four goals for the Condors this winter while Yasmin Valdez has been a playmaking machine with seven assists.
Defense has been the heart of North County's blistering start, as goalie Nicole Garcia has 82 saves and three shutouts between the pipes, recording 22 saves in her last two games.
