Jayla Scholis

Jayla Scholis will open her senior track season next week at Cal on the indoor circuit, where she hopes to improve on her career best of 7.54 seconds in the 60 meters.

Scholis, who captured Central Coast Section titles in the 100 and 200 en route to setting school records at Seaside, has a collegiate career best of 11.74 in the 100 and 24.70 in the 200 for Cal.
Having shattered school records in the 100 and 200 in one season at MPC, Scholis won the Sacramento State Open 100 last year and was second in the Brutus Hamilton Challenge in a wind-aided 11.71. She helped Cal’s 400 relay team to a seventh place finish at the Pac 12 finals.
