Having already matched last season's entire win total with a 5-0 start, Pacific Grove will learn more about themselves tonight when they visit 5-0 Aptos.
The Breakers have clearly been the surprise team of the early season, producing 101 points in one game, while using overtime to beat another.
It certainly didn't hurt having Allie Patton move back to Pacific Grove this winter. As a freshmen in 2014, she earned all league honors.
Patton is a playmaking guard that distributes offensively and is disruptive on defense, averaging over 12 points a game.
No one has benefited more from her return than Vada Courtney, who dropped in a season high 24 in the Breakers overtime win last Saturday over North County.
Courtney is averaging 18 points a game in her last three games while Danielle Pasquariello has been a beast in the paint.
Aptos, who won 17 games last year, is led by freshman Natalia Ackerman and sophomore Hannah Hocom, both of which were named to the Watsonville all-tournament team.
