The former Seaside two-sport standout has seen his minutes increase as the season progresses, coming off the bench, averaging 8.5 minutes a game in his first season for the Pacific-Oregon University basketball team.
Evans, who prepped at Seaside and played two seasons at Monterey Peninsula College, is averaging 2.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists for the Boxers.
Evans was The Herald’s basketball Player of the Year at Seaside in 2012. Last year he helped MPC to its first 20 win season in over a decade.
