Carmel-Monterey boys soccer

No team has gotten off to a faster start than the Toreadores, who have outscored three opponents 9-2.
Not that this should come as a surprise. The program has won 10 or more games in each of the last three seasons, reaching the playoffs last year after going 7-1-4 in the Pacific Division.
Louis Sanchez, who led the team in goals last winter, already has two this season along with Alexis Lara and Isaac Lomeli.
Posting the programs first unbeaten Mission Trail Athletic League season last year, the Padres have been involved in three games decided by one goal or less, going 1-1-1.
Scott Tracy has three of Carmel's six goals this year, including two in the teams 3-2 win over Palma on Monday.
Last year the Padres went 13-0-3 after an 0-2-1 start, before falling in the playoffs to Saratoga.
