Bradshaw Christian-Santa Catalina volleyball

CIF State Northern California Division V Quarterfinals
Saturday's match
No. 6 Bradshaw Christian-Sacramento (28-10) at No. 3 Santa Catalina (26-0), 7 p.m.
The SAC Joaquin Section Division V champions are battle tested, having played 38 matches, or 12 more than the undefeated Cougars.
The Pride come into the match having won 10 straight matches, sweeping East Nicolaus in their CIF  tournament opener. Eight of those wins have been sweeps.
Santa Catalina has made a habit out of sweeping opponents this year with 22 of their 26 wins having been sweeps en route to the programs first ever Central Coast Section title.
McKinley Fox spread the ball around the net last Wednesday, as five different hitters got involved in the attack. Yet, no one is better in crunch time than Maria Santos and Saige Madden.
The Cougars are going to have to be aware of outside hitter Larissa Lenkiewicz, who is eight kills shy of 400 on the season for the Pride.
Bradshaw Christian, who has seen its season end the last two years in the postseason by Notre Dame, is a strong serving team with 339 service aces --79 from Lenkiewicz and 60 from Cassidy Maw.
The Cougars have served well all year as well. In their playoff opener, they had runs of five or more points six times, with Madden serving 12 straight points during one stretch.
Santa Catalina has preached defense all year and that starts with libero Olivia Satow, who has over 400 digs this year.
