Seaside-Alisal football

Friday's game
Seaside (6-1) at Alisal (0-7), 7:30 p.m.
What we learned about the Spartans last week is they can win a tight game, they can come from behind in the fourth quarter, and they can put up a defensive stand in the waning seconds.
While Seaside looked much sharper in the first half than it had in its previous four games, the second half was a mystery in failing to hold a two touchdown lead.
Prior to last week's nailbitting 34-32 win over Gilroy, the Spartans had outscored teams 74-6 in the fourth quarter.
Alisal is looking for something to build off of over its final three games. A season that began with so much promise has been filled with frustration in an 0-7 start.
The Trojans have actually held leads in four of their seven losses, although they absorbed their worst loss of the year last week at Monterey.
This is still an Alisal team that held Gilroy to 21 points three weeks ago -- the same Gilroy team that put up 34 on Seaside's defense.
Keishawn Robinson is coming off another multiple touchdown game for Seaside, Daniel Sayre has returned four interceptions for touchdowns.
