Lizzy Tardieu

Lizzy Tardieu is on pace to surpass her career totals for digs for the nationally ranked University of San Diego volleyball team.

The 5-foot-4 junior defensive specialist is averaging a career high 1.69 digs a set for 18-2 San Diego. At this pace, she will surpass her dig totals from the first two years combined.

Tardieu, a Santa Catalina product, has recorded eight service aces this year for San Diego, who is currently ranked No. 5 in the nation.

While at Santa Catalina, Tardieu earned all-league honors in volleyball and cross country in the fall, and was a four-time all-leaguer in track in two different events.

A four-time member of The Herald’s All-County Volleyball team, Tradieu was The Herald’s Female Athlete of the Year in 2014.
