Carmel-Greenfield football

Friday's game
Carmel (5-0) at Greenfield (2-3), 7:30 p.m.
 Through five games, the Padres are averaging 44.8 points a game. Last week they tied their single-game school record for points with 78 points, using reserves after the first quarter.
 Hector Ramirez has brought life back into the Greenfield offense with nearly 800 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. Last week he went over 200 yards rushing in a win over Gonzales.
 Covossay Windham carried the ball just seven times last week for Carmel -- all in the first quarter -- finishing with 112 yards.
 The Padres have been a juggernaut through the first three quarters this year, outscoring teams 174-50, with Daniel Higman throwing for 765 yards and rushing for 535 yards.
 Greenfield has been involved in three games decided by four points or less, and another in which it was a three-point game going into the fourth quarter.
 Carmel is 15-2 lifetime against the Bruins, having won the last nine games. The Padres have started the year 5-0 three times in the last eight years, making two CCS finals appearances.
