 The Condors are looking to snap a Week 2 five-game losing streak and a three game losing streak to Monte Vista -- both of which go back to 2010.
 The offensive struggles from last season that watched North County produce 33 points in six losses, remain a concern after scoring just seven in a season opening defeat to Alvarez.
 So much for this being a rebuilding season for the Mustangs, who recorded a shutout last week in a 32-0 win over King City -- their first road shutout in three years.
 Unable to get in a scrimmage two weeks ago because it didn't have enough practices, was a setback for North County, whose offense has several new faces.
 Coming off back-to-back 10 win seasons, Monte Vista has won five straight non-league games and is 8-1 over the last four years in non-league play.
 The Mustangs have won 12 straight home games by an average of 18.5 points a game. North County is just 4-15 on the road over the last five years.
