Carmel-Soquel boys polo

Two teams accustomed to battling for supremacy will get no tune-up as the Padres will travel to face Soquel, the perennial powers of water polo in both teams season and league openers.
Having had its run of 20 straight league titles snapped last year, Soquel returns 14 players, including all-leaguers Charlie Bailey and Henry Bistrin, who combined for 161 goals last year.
Up until last fall, the only program that had been a throne in Soquel's side was Carmel, who grabbed a share of two titles in 2013 and 2015 by virtue of beating the Knights in the tournament title match.
Kevin Auger and Parker Fisher combined for over 100 goals last season for the Padres, who fell in the CCS Division II quarterfinals last year to power Menlo.
