The former Palma product finished his senior season at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, leading the team in stolen bases with 12, helping them reach the NAIA World Series.
Valentin, who spent his first three seasons at St. Mary's, was second on the team in runs scored with 43 in 52 games.
The senior did not commit an error in the field as a utility player and hit .262 in 20 starts.
