EJ Rowland

Still working his magic on the hardwood at 33, EJ Rowland helped the Hapoel Jerusalem basketball team to a 31-9 record in the Israeli League, reaching the tournament title game last weekend.
The 6-foot-2 Rowland played in all 40 games, averaging a team high 29.6 minutes a game for Hapoel. He finished second in scoring at 11.8 points a game and was second in assists at 3.9.
In 16 EuroCup games, the playmaker averaged a team high 15.2 points while doling out 4.9 assists for Hapoel. Rowland, who prepped at Palma High and played one year at Hartnell College and two at St. Mary’s, also pulled down 4.1 rebounds a game.
Rowland has played overseas professionally for 11 years, earning the VTB United League Most Valuable Player award in 2013, when he won the league scoring title. He was also the Latvian Basketball League playoff MVP in 2013.
