A podium finish in just her second heptathlon is not out of the question for BreAnn Scally.
Coming off a school record effort in her first heptathlon on April 13, the MPC freshman has room to improve her marks in all seven events.
Scally, a North County graduate, compiled 4,093 points at the Northern California finals to qualify for the state championships.
Scally is also taking part in the triple jump, where she finished second last Saturday at the Nor Cal finals in 38-feet-4. Teammate Kyana Rivera also advanced in the triple jump.
