Greenfield-Pacific Grove baseball

Who had Greenfield chasing a playoff spot this year?
Having already rewritten the school record for wins while ensuring the programs first ever winning season, the Bruins are in the playoff hunt, sitting just a game behind Pacific Grove for third.
At least three teams will come out of the Mission Trail Athletic League this spring. Two years ago, four teams from the MTAL made the postseason party.
Which means the two meetings this week between the two teams will have a playoff type feel. Plus Soledad sits just a game back of Greenfield in fifth.
Owners of three straight wins, four of Greenfield's five losses in league play have come from MTAL co-leaders King City and Carmel.
The Breakers have produced 39 runs in their last four games behind James Donlon, Noah Ryan and Eric Boerner.
JJ Rodriguez and Hernan Prea have ignited the offense for Greenfield, with Rodriguez having been the ace of the staff.
