CSUMB baseball

Having put together the second best season in school history, the Otters will open the NCAA West Regionals in Riverside in about 90 minutes against Dixie State.
The No. 2 seeded Trail Blazers went 38-12 this year and were 4-0 against teams from the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
CSUMB (33-19) set a single season school record for home runs this year with 50, 24 coming off the bats of Hayden Duer and Kevin Davidson.
Davidson, who shares the single-season home run record with Duer with 12, is also hitting .320 with 50 RBI.
The Otters went 6-0 against teams from the Pac West this year. Gabe Katich will likely get the start today, having posted a 5-2 record with a 2.26 earned run average.
Dixie State is hitting .340 as a team, with eight of its nine starters in the lineup hitting over .300, two hitting above .400.
