Mikayla Revera has chosen to drop the 100 and will focus on the 200 and 400 at Saturday's Central Coast Section trials for Santa Catalina.
The junior was ranked in the top three in all three events. A state meet qualifier last year in the 200 and 400, Revera is ranked No. 2 in the 200 at 24.67.
Revera will have company in the 400 as Salinas sophomore and Gabilan Division champion Brooke Oleson is ranked No. 4 at 56.31.
Teammate D'Vina Brown, a CCS finalist last year in the discus, is ranked No. 4 overall coming into the trials at 130-5.
Santa Catalina freshman and school record holder Lauren Wong is ranked fifth in the pole vault at 11-9.
In need of a personal best to potentially extend their seasons include Notre Dame's Jen Lane in the high jump, and Dante Morr of Salinas in high jump.
Looking to get back to the state meet is San Benito's Marisa Villegas in the 1,600. The junior is also among the elite in the 800.
