Brittany File

The former Carmel High hurler was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III All-American team.
File put together a record breaking season for Emory University in Atlanta, winning 35 games while striking out 330 hitters in 222 1/3 innings, taking them to the NCAA DIII championships.
Named the University Athletic Association Player of the Year, File was named the UAA Pitcher of the Week six times this spring.
File averaged nearly 11 strikeouts a game, finishing with a league leading 1.23 earned run average.  During one stretch, she didn't allow a run for 41 consecutive innings, tossing a no-hitter on Feb. 13.
The junior is already Emory's all-time leader in strikeouts (674), and strikeouts per nine innings (9.84). File is second in wins (62).
Earlier this year File was named an academic All-American.
