With all the off-the-field turmoil put aside, perhaps the Chieftains can get back to focusing on the field for the stretch run.
Locked in a tie for first in the Gabilan Division with the reigning champion Balers and Monte Vista, the Chieftains are 6-0 at home this spring.
Both of Palma's league losses this season have been by a single run, the last coming in a 10-inning 5-4 setback at Monterey 48 hours ago.
San Benito has won its last three Gabilan Division games, two of which came on the road, with hurler Diego Fisher tossing a no-hitter.
A concern for Palma is the health of pitcher Josh Zanger, who twisted his ankle on the bases last Tuesday and was forced to leave the game.
One thing Palma has shown this year is depth with its pitching staff. If Zanger can't go, Michael Gutierrez will get the start.
The two teams split their season series last year with both winning on the road.
