Bound for national Division II cross country and track power Adams State University in Colorado, Grover has left a legacy at Hartnell College.
A junior college cross country and track All American, Grover broke a 35-year-old school record this spring in the 1,500 in 4:38.35.
A Salinas High grad, Grover came within a second of rewriting the school record in the 10,000 last Wednesday, settling for a Coast Conference record.
Grover also ran the second fastest time in school history in the 3,000 (9:57.26) and is currently one second off the state leading mark in the 5,000.
A Coast Conference champion in cross country last fall, Grover set a new school record at Toro Park (18:01), helping the Panthers to a Northern California team title, and a second place finish at the state championships.
