Central Coast Section Division I semifinals
Wednesday's game
No. 3 North Salinas (22-3) vs. No. 2 Silver Creek (22-2) at Wilcox High, Santa Clara, 5:30 p.m.
The Mount Hamilton Athletic League champion Raiders have rattled off 16 straight wins to reach the Division I semifinals for the second straight year.
Sound familiar?
That's because North Salinas faced Silver Creek last year in the Division I semifinals, posting a 51-43 win en route to its second straight CCS title.
Last Saturday North Salinas ended Homestead's 17-game winning streak with a 53-49 decision in the quarterfinals.
You can make the argument that Silver Creek hasn't been tested in a while as 20 of its 22 wins have been by 10 or more points
The Raiders are anchored by 5-foot-5 guard Madison Hotchkiss, who is averaging 15 points a game.
North Salinas has a run of its own going, having run off 10 consecutive wins in capturing its fourth straight Gabilan Division title.
Alissa Foster and Jordyn Enos have carried the offensive load this season for North Salinas while Danae Snell and Sherise Robinson have been tenacious on defense.
