Serra-Palma hoops

 The Chieftains didn't draw a cream puff in the Open Division playoffs as Serra is ranked No. 18 the state at 20-4.
 Runner-ups in the West Catholic Athletic League, the Padres have rattled off six straight wins. Their last loss was to top seed St. Francis.
 Seeded a disappointing seventh, Palma (22-4) comes into the game having won 15 straight, with its only losses on the season coming from Half Moon Bay and St. Francis.
 CSU-East Bay bound Wyatt Maker has been a beast in the second half of the season while Jamaree Bouyea is the best player in the county.
 What hurts the Chieftains is they will not have the services of sophomore Garrett Maker, who is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
 Senior Liam McMillin becomes more of a factor inside while Jack Brusa is among the team leaders in 3-point goals.
 The bench will have to be a factor in this game for Palma to keep pace with Serra.
