Monte Vista-North Salinas girls hoops

It's not so much about redemption as pride.
A loss back on Jan. 19 at Monte Vista not only snapped a 35 game Gabilan Division winning streak, but it stung North Salinas.
For the first time since Jan. 17, 2013, the reigning three-time league champion Vikings were not in first place.
This time the rematch is at North Salinas tonight.
Since the 55-49 loss, the Vikings have won six straight games to keep pace with a Monte Vista team that has rattled off a school record 16 straight wins.
Three players are averaging over 11 points a game for the Mustangs, including Delaney Moore, who is dropping in nearly 18 points a night.
While Moore is a force in the paint,  Donatella MacLeod and Nikki Morrell have combined for 62 3-point goals.
North Salinas will counter with its tenacious defense, which has held six straight opponents under 35 points.
Getting into an offensive flow starts with four-year starting guard Jordyn Enos. Production has come from Alissa Foster and Danae Snell, giving the Vikings more offensive firepower.
Both these teams will push the pace, meaning benches could play a role when matching intensity for four quarters.
