Division V boys hoops

Stevenson was impressive in its Division V opener, knocking off Pacific Collegiate by 25 points while Trinity won its first ever postseason game with a 15 point win over St. Thomas More.
The reward for the Coastal Athletic League champion Warriors is a meeting this afternoon with top seed Pinewood at St. Francis Catholic.
Pinewood, who was knocked out of the Division V quarterfinals last year as the top seed, shared the West Bay Athletic League title with Division IV top seed Sacred Heart Prep.
Trinity is led by CAL MVP Jamez Booker, who dropped in 28 points in Thursday's win while Tyler Swedberg chipped in with 14.
A CCS Division V finalist last year as the No. 6 seed, Stevenson is again seeded No. 6 as it faces No. 3 Priory at St. Francis Catholic.
Despite missing two starters, including high scoring guard Parker Olin, the Pirates have rattled off three straight wins behind Ben Stork and sophomore Kevin Cook.
