Defending Central Coast Section girls wrestling champion Jenna Garcia of Notre Dame will go into Friday's finals at Independence High in San Jose ranked No. 1 at 126 pounds.
Garcia, who was undefeated last year before falling in the State semifinals, has dropped just one match this year to the reigning state champion.
Just a junior, Garcia could find herself matched up in the later rounds with Alisal's Dalia Cabrera, who is seeded No. 3 overall.
Alvarez's Alondra Paredes is also seeded No. 1 at 111 pounds, as is teammate Citlaly Lopez at 189, while Brooke Lacuata is ranked No. 2 at 116.
North County's Dililah Houch will go into the CCS finals seeded No. 2 at 121, as will Monterey's Ann Joeli at 189.
Salinas has four ranked wrestlers, including Shannon Proa, who is seeded No. 4 at 131. Teammate Emily Kennedy (111) is listed No. 5 while Aracelli Castillo (170) and Hannah Latham (150) are both seeded No. 6.
Maria Calmargo is ranked No. 4 at 150 pounds for Alisal. Ilda Reyes of North Salinas will enter the event seeded No. 5 at 137 pounds, as will Koren English of Monterey at 160.
