Carmel boys soccer

The Mission Trail Athletic League champion Padres have a chance to create history today when they  attempt to complete their first unbeaten league season.
The Padres, who have already set a school record for league wins, will go into their league finale on the road 11-0-2 against a much-improved Marina squad.
One of those ties was a 1-1 battle against Marina on January 22 at home. Ironically, the Padres are 6-0-0 in league play on the road, having outscored teams 13-2.
Carmel appears to be hitting its stride offensively for the postseason, having outscored its last three opponents 15-2.
It's been a scoring by committee approach for the Padres with Dilyn Langdon having produced a team high nine goals.
With sniper Benji Dansky out with an injury, Mac Cotelli, Daniel Zito and Morgan Goldschmidt have stepped up, combining for 13 goals.
Goalie Terak Hornik has quietly recorded five shutouts this year Carmel, who is unbeaten in its last 15 games overall since starting non-league play 0-2-1.
