Stevenson-Greenfield girls hoops

Arguably the most explosive offense in the Mission Trail Athletic League will find the stingiest defense guarding them tonight in a battle for potential supremacy in league.
Stevenson has put up points in bunches this season, averaging nearly 60 points a game. Greenfield, however, has allowed a league low 35.2 points an outing.
It's no secret who the Pirates turn to in sophomore Ambreece Gaskins, who is averaging over 20 points a game. Post Fauve Koontz is dropping in double digits in points and rebounds.
Greenfield has scored 50 or more points just once this year. And while Liz Castro has caught fire of late, averaging 20 points a game in league, defense is the teams forte.
The Bruins have allowed just three teams to score 40 or more points against them. It's a tenacious group that out hustles opponents on defense.
Stevenson has already eclipsed last year's season high for wins with 10 overall. Its lone MTAL loss came after a 19 day hiatus during the Christmas Holidays.
