All-Star football

An aerial show is anticipated tonight in the 31st Monterey County Prep high school all star football game at 7 p.m. at Rabobank Stadium.
There will be no shortage of offensive weapons as quarterbacks Jack Richardson of Palma and Matt Castaneda of Salinas combined to throw for nearly 4,500 yards this past fall.
Thirteen players from The Herald's All-County team will take part, including three-time 1,000 yard running back Aikli Jones of Monterey, Salinas receiver Ryan Jensen and King City tight end Jarod Davis.
While the game is geared for the offenses to flourish, there are three league Defensive Players of the Year on the field, including Salinas linebacker Kyle Martorella.
In addition, Soledad linebacker Enrique Pacheco and North Salinas linebacker Ben Organista are expected to take part.
Alvarez coach David Bottom will guide Team Salinas Jaycees while Salinas coach Steve Goodbody will coach Team Children’s Miracle Network.
