Monterey-Pacific Grove boys hoops

I'm not sure if there is anything to gain playing a non-league game during the league season.
Particularly for two teams that played last night.
These teams have contrasting styles as Monterey treats the basketball court like it's in a track meet.
Oh, the Breakers can run as well. But they're more patient in running their offense behind reigning Mission Trail Athletic League Most Valuable Player Brad Sendell.
Monterey will likely put different players on Sendell throughout the game with Jordan Eugenio and freshman Mohammed Adams taking turns.
Pacific Grove has to find someone to get a hand in the face of  Kobe Ordonio, who is averaging 20.1 points a night, having launched 32 3-point goals this year.
The Breakers have showcased a presence in the paint with Zack Miller and Chip Wagner combining to average nearly 18 points a game.
Owners of a five-game winning streak, Pacific Grove's (10-2) only losses this year have come from Half Moon Bay and Palma -- two teams likely targeted for the CCS Open Division playoffs.
