The Spartans have won three straight road games to remain within one game of unbeaten Alisal in tonight's Pacific Division battle.
Having won just four games all of last season, Seaside has rebounded behind Matthew Briscoe, Will Snell and Chris Choate, building momentum and confidence.
Alisal has been overpowering in the Pacific in its first five games behind Jessy Hurtado -- with the average margin of victory being 25 points.
Hurtado has been the first half MVP in the Pacific Division, averaging 23 points a game. His brother Rene is dropping in 14 points a night and leads Alisal with 39 3-point goals.
Darwin Ongy has provided the Trojans with another scoring option while sophomore Steven Castro is a threat in the paint.
Both of these teams are going to push the tempo. Winning the turnover battle will be crucial.
