Alisal girls hoops

When the Trojans started 0-4 and were 3-10 at one point, patients had to be preached.
It wasn't as if Alisal was facing creampuffs during its non-league season. Of the first 13 games, 11 of those teams made the playoffs last year.
 So what changed?
Nothing really. Alisal had lost four games by five points or less.
Nothing needed to be fixed, just cleaned up.
The result has seen the Trojans, who visit Pajaro on Tuesday, run off four straight wins to move into a tie for first in the Pacific Division with North County at the midpoint of the season.
While Alisal was held under 40 points in seven non-league games, it is averaging 53.1 points during its winning streak.
After going 0-4 in games decided by five points or less, the Trojans won a nailbitter by two on Jan. 7 over North County, arguably the turning in their season.
If there is one thing different about Alisal this winter, it's that it has two dynamic scoring options in Karely Apodaca and Lydia Garcia, who are providing headaches for opponents.
The pair combined for 40 of the teams 52 points in their last win.
League titles have been rare at Alisal. There have been just two -- the last coming 11 years ago. But confidence is contagious. Momentum is a invaluable.
