Saturday's game
Soledad (6-2) at Stevenson (3-4), 2 p.m.
Keeping things in perspective is critical for the Aztecs after ending a 15-year losing streak to Carmel last week.
Not only is Soledad a win away from equaling the single season school record for wins, but it has put itself into the Mission Trail Athletic League title chase.
Stevenson has struggled to regroup after a heartbreaking one-point loss to Pacific Grove. But it's still a dangerous team on offense behind quarterback Casey Mornhinweg.
The Aztecs defense has kept four opponents out of the end zone this year. During their current four game winning streak, they have not allowed a touchdown in the first three quarters.
Andrew Hernandez has compiled nine sacks for Soledad this fall while Enrique Pacheco is on pace for 100 plus tackles.
The second quarter is where the Aztecs have asserted themselves on both sides of the ball, having outscored the opposition 53-3.
