Tuesday's game
Seaside (8-2) at Alvarez (8-2), 6:30 p.m.
Both teams control their own fate going into the final week of the season, although the road to a title is a little more difficult for Pacific Division co-leadingSeaside.
The Eagles, who won the Pacific Division title in 2013, are unbeaten at home in league play this fall behind Nhean Marquez, who leads the team in assists (608) and aces (56).
The Spartans, who sent Alvarez down to its first defeat in the Pacific Division on Oct. 8, will have to get their hands up at the net in an effort to slow down Daniela Gonzalez and Brandy Hernandez.
Defense has been Seaside's strength all season with Brittany Aledo setting a school record for digs in a match earlier this year, having compiled over 500 on the season.
Setter Maura White has spread the ball around the court with Hailee Suber being among the leagues hardest hitters for Seaside.
The Spartans only two league losses have come from Alisal, who like North Salinas, sit one game behind the co-leaders. Seaside closes the season hosting the Vikings.
