 The sidelines looked like a mash unit on Friday with a handful of starters in street cloths with their jerseys.
 Marquee players.
 It's been like this for eight weeks.
 Yet, the Chieftains are champions of the Gabilan Division for the fourth straight year.
 Palma has persevered this year in unique ways.
 Beating San Benito by a point in overtime was no different.
 This time it was special teams blocking an extra point in OT to record a 33-32 win.
 San Benito has dropped just four games in the last four years after November. Three of them have come from Palma.
 It almost seems like a different player comes to the forefront each week.
 Jared Torculas, who didn't get his first carry until Week 3, has 15 touchdowns in five starts and is in position to rush for over 1,000 yards.
 Depth is a nice tool to have.
 While the juggling of the lineup continues, the pieces are falling into place for an extensive playoff run.
